I have been a handicap for 16 years. I used a regular wheelchair before and faced a lot of difficulties. I used to be always dependent on two people. And if they were busy, I had to stay home. As soon as ibex came to my life, its become very easy for me to travel. Be it going to the temple or college, I am no longer dependent on any one. I can concentrate on things that are more important.

I encountered a fatal accident in 2012. I suffered with a spinal cord injury. I used to use a normal wheelchair, but faced a lot of problems because I am not able to push it for long due to weak arms. The Ibex made a huge change to it. I can go anywhere now. Be it our roads, visiting crowded markets and work. It’s helped me a lot to have the freedom to go anywhere. I highly recommend it to any person with a disability.

I used to use a hand propelled trike for my daily commute, but it was a hassle. I used to face a lot of problems. But once I began using ibex, my life changed for the better. It has benefited me in a lot of ways. It is extremely comfortable for me. I go to my shop everyday and it is extremely comfortable and easy to drive. Even in crowded markets, it’s easy to maneuver. It has solved many difficulties I used to face.

When we purchased the INDENT Motorised Wheelchair, my reason was twofold – the first was to encourage an Indian start-up to produce an international quality off-road wheelchair. The second was to provide mobility for a youngster with spinal cord injury to become mobile and self-reliant. Since it looks a little bulky, I thought he would be able to use it only outdoors, but I have seen him use it within the home very comfortably. He is able to turn in very small spaces and this is a surprise addition. The fact that spares will be simple and easy to procure are big plus. I hope it will be useful for a long time and am also open to purchasing more of these wheelchairs for our beneficiaries who live in very remote and rugged areas
